In my private practice I provide psychotherapy and counseling for adult individuals and couples. As a cognitive-behavioral therapist, I work collaboratively with individual clients to help develop an understanding of the thoughts and feelings that are behind their behaviors. An awareness of beliefs, influences from child/teen years, and relationship patterns can help to navigate current problems. Together we explore your past and present, and develop an action oriented plan to move into the future. I work with couples who are interested in enriching a good relationship, are in a new relationship, want to resolve long standing conflicts, or are near break-up and want to begin anew.
I welcome all couples regardless of gender, orientation, race/ethnicity or relationship status (e.g., dating, cohabiting, married) who are committed to deepening their connection. I can help couples acquire the skills needed to get reconnected quickly. These skills help couples to explore and appreciate their differences and pave the path to a loving and lasting relationship. My areas of experience include depression/mood disorders, anxiety, relationship problems, co-occurring disorders, post-addiction recovery, adult children of addicted parents (AlCoA) issues, stress, trauma, grief/bereavement, life transitions, and career/workplace issues. I am a Prepare/Enrich Marital Facilitator and have extensive training in Imago Relationship Therapy and Gottman Couples Therapy. I am a caring Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with a Master of Science in Counseling from Johns Hopkins University.
