Zoë Erikson, LGPC

My aim is to help people meet their treatment goals by providing a warm, welcoming and safe place for individuals of all backgrounds and identities. As a firm believer in each person being the “expert” of their own lives, my overall approach to therapy is that of collaboration within the therapeutic relationship. As the clinician, I facilitate exploration of presenting problems, and may teach some useful skills to try out, while you remain the one who knows best what will work well in your own life long-term. In treatment, I use a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal process therapy, and aspects of mindfulness, depending on what best suits an individual’s treatment needs.

I have extensive training in the treatment of anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder. My clinical experience also includes working with depression, life transitions, and self-esteem issues. Additionally, I am interested in working with individuals on various relationship challenges, be they familial, romantic, or platonic. It is my belief that the quality of these relationships in our lives can have a huge impact on our mental wellbeing.

I welcome you to schedule an initial session with me to discuss your treatment goals and what working together to achieve them might look like for you!
