Research shows that positive relationships are beneficial to health and contribute to happier living. For many years I have enjoyed working with couples, adults, and adolescents, of diverse backgrounds and sexual orientations, who are seeking to establish or improve supportive relationships in their personal lives and/or in the workplace. I am a licensed clinician. I have over 22 years in the field functioning in various capacities. I have been in private practice since 1996.
My areas of interest include depression, anxiety, stress/anger management, couples related issues and addressing challenges specific to adolescents. My approach is outcomes oriented. Throughout the various stages of treatment, clients will be able to review progress, and use enhanced coping skills and self-awareness to prevent setbacks.I have extensive training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, a cutting-edge model that has proven to be highly effective in treating couples, families, and individuals. I have advanced training in the treatment of adults and adolescents from the Baltimore Psychotherapy Institute. I maintain a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Stony Brook University in Long Island, New York and a Masters Degree in Social Work from Hunter College School of Social Work in New York City. I am an active member of the National Association of Social Workers.
