Jeremy Mandel, LGPC

I work with clients who are looking for a space to better understand themselves, build practical coping skills, and make changes that feel meaningful and sustainable. My style is collaborative, down-to-earth, and focused on helping clients move toward the kind of life they want to build.

My approach is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which focuses on clarifying personal values, building psychological flexibility, and learning how to relate differently to difficult thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I also draw from other approaches depending on each client’s needs and goals.I have experience working with trauma-affected clients, clients navigating executive functioning challenges, anger management, sexual issues, legal system involvement, and adolescents with developmental, behavioral, and emotional concerns.

I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Hood College and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Goucher College. My previous career background in special education and behavioral support also shapes how I understand each person within the context of their strengths, environment, history, and goals.

In therapy, we will work together to identify patterns that may be getting in the way, strengthen skills for managing difficult moments, and focus on realistic steps toward change. I am currently accepting both virtual and in-person clients
