Ashley Ann Guy, LCPC
I began my career working as a school-based clinician working with children and adolescents. After gaining an understanding of each client’s needs, I guide and support them in implementing the changes necessary to improve peer and family relationships, emotional health, and overall quality of life at home and at school. By selecting an tailoring the appropriate therapeutic approach, the client is encouraged to work towards achieving their personal goals for healing, growth, and wellness. These approaches may involve therapeutic play (for younger children and adolescents), as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness techniques. I also offer animal-assisted therapy, on a case-by-case basis, with my dog, Ace.
I welcome children, adolescents, and young adults of all backgrounds and look forward to the opportunity to partner with you to achieve a more fulfilled and functional daily life. My areas of interest include: attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, emotional regulation and mood issues, trauma and abuse issues, adjustment concerns to new environments or new family circumstances (e.g., divorce or separation of parents), life or school transitions, stress management, conflict resolution skills, social/communication skills, and child-parent relationships.
I am currently not accepting new clients.
