It can be scary to ask for help. It is difficult to admit we can not solve all of our problems by ourselves. Life can be challenging, and relationships are sometimes hard. If you are feeling alone, confused, frustrated, or overwhelmed – you can find help through counseling.
I believe in a person’s natural ability to become stronger and more emotionally resilient. Using empathic understanding and compassion, I help clients embark on their journey toward self-discovery and emotional healing. I have more than fifteen years of experience working in the field of alcoholism, with extensive knowledge about 12-Step Recovery programs. I also have experience working with clients who have concerns including anxiety, depression, substance use/abuse, low self-esteem, codependency, stress, and life transitions. I am an EMDRIA approved EMDR therapist with an integrative approach to psychotherapy. I use a variety of treatment modalities including mind-body practices, mindfulness techniques, EMDR, narrative therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). We will work together to determine the best way to navigate the challenges faced. Therapy offers the opportunity to gain insight, change perspective, heal, and find peace. I welcome the opportunity to meet with you to discuss your treatment goals.
